The 3-Minute Morning Posture Reset
Posture isn’t set in an office chair at 3pm — it’s set the moment you get up. Three minutes of targeted morning moves counteracts sleep stiffness and programs ‘tall’ as your day’s default. Here’s the reset that takes less time than your coffee.

Why Mornings Set the Pattern
Overnight, tissues stiffen in curled positions, and without a reset you carry that shape to your desk. Morning is when your postural ‘thermostat’ gets programmed. Three intentional minutes beat eight passive hours.
Move 1: Wall Angels (60 seconds)
Back against a wall, arms in goalpost position, slide them up and down keeping contact. This wakes the upper-back muscles that hold you upright. Ten slow reps and your shoulders remember their job.

Move 2: Doorway Chest Opener (60 seconds)
Forearms on a doorframe, step gently through until the chest stretches. Sleep and screens shorten your front; this reopens it. Thirty seconds, two rounds, breathe wide.
Move 3: Standing Tall Drill (60 seconds)
Stand, imagine a string lifting your crown, ribs over hips, shoulders melting down. Hold and breathe for ten slow counts, twice. This is the feeling you’ll recall at your desk later - rehearse it.
Anchor It to a Habit
Do the reset right after brushing your teeth, before coffee ends. Habit-stacking makes it automatic within two weeks. Your afternoon slouch alarm will start ringing earlier - that’s awareness winning.
Three minutes, three moves: wall angels, doorway opener, tall-stand rehearsal. Do it every morning after the toothbrush and your body carries ‘upright’ into meetings, desks and dinner. Posture is a daily vote - cast it before breakfast.
